Clean your Klaviyo lists before they cost you deliverability
Connect Klaviyo, pick a list, and every profile's address is verified against its mail server. Each profile gets a tag with the verdict, and the ones that will bounce can be suppressed so your flows stop sending to them.
- No export, no re-import
- Catch-all and unknown are free
- Nothing is ever hard-deleted
How the Klaviyo integration works
- 1
Connect Klaviyo
Sign in with Klaviyo and approve Prime Verifier in your account.
Or paste a Private API Key with read access to Lists and Profiles and write access to Tags.
- 2
Choose a list
Pick the list you want checked. We pull its addresses and remove duplicates first, so an address listed twice is only verified, and charged, once.
- 3
We verify it in the background
Every address goes through the full check: syntax, domain and MX records, disposable and role detection, and a live conversation with the receiving mail server. The run shows in your Bulk Jobs like any other, so you can close the tab.
- 4
Results land in Klaviyo
Each profile gets one tag: pv-good, pv-risky, pv-invalid or pv-unknown. Tagging is opt-in per run, so a large list never pays for writes you did not ask for.
What each result means
Every address gets exactly one of these, written to Klaviyo as described above.
| Result | Meaning | Credit |
|---|---|---|
| pv-good | The mailbox was confirmed to exist. Safe to send. | 1 |
| pv-risky | A catch-all domain: it accepts every address, so the mailbox could not be confirmed either way. | Free |
| pv-invalid | The mailbox does not exist. Sending here earns a hard bounce. | 1 |
| pv-unknown | No definite answer from the mail server (blocked, greylisted or timed out). | Free |
Cleaning up Klaviyo
Remove invalid adds those profiles to Klaviyo's suppression, which stops every campaign and flow from emailing them without deleting the profile or its order history.
Removal is always your choice and never deletes anything. pv-risky and pv-unknown are never removed, because neither proves an address is bad. If a sync fails part way, nothing is written back at all rather than acting on partial results.
Why Klaviyo users verify
E-commerce lists grow fast through pop-ups, checkout and giveaways, and that is where typos, throwaway addresses and fake sign-ups come in. Klaviyo's always-on flows keep mailing them, and the bounces add up quietly. Verifying lists, especially before a big sale, keeps the inbox placement you rely on for revenue.
What it costs
A Klaviyo sync costs exactly what verifying those addresses any other way would: 1 credit per definite answer (valid, invalid or disposable). Catch-all, unknown and error results are free, because none of them confirms anything. Credits never expire, and new accounts get free credits to try it, no card needed. See pricing for packs.
Klaviyo integration FAQ
Does suppression delete the Klaviyo profile?
No. Suppressed profiles keep their data and order history; Klaviyo simply stops emailing them.
Should I suppress pv-risky profiles?
Usually not. pv-risky means a catch-all domain that accepts every address, so we cannot prove the mailbox either way. We never remove them for you; send to them carefully or in a separate segment.
Can I verify sign-ups as they happen?
Native syncs verify a whole list. For real-time checks at the moment of sign-up, use the REST API on your form or our Zapier app.
