Verify the emails in a Google Sheet, results in a new column
Sign in with Google, pick a spreadsheet, a tab and the column with the addresses. Every address is verified and the result is written into a new Prime Verifier column beside your data, row by row.
- No export, no re-import
- Catch-all and unknown are free
- Nothing is ever hard-deleted
How the Google Sheets integration works
- 1
Connect Google Sheets
Sign in with Google, then choose the spreadsheet in Google's own file picker. We ask for a permission that covers only the files you pick, so the rest of your Drive stays private.
Choose the tab and the column. We show a sample from each column and suggest the one that looks like email addresses, but the choice is yours: verifying the wrong column would charge you once per row.
- 2
Choose a column
Pick the column you want checked. We pull its addresses and remove duplicates first, so an address listed twice is only verified, and charged, once.
- 3
We verify it in the background
Every address goes through the full check: syntax, domain and MX records, disposable and role detection, and a live conversation with the receiving mail server. The run shows in your Bulk Jobs like any other, so you can close the tab.

Results land in Google Sheets
Results go into a new Prime Verifier column, matched to each row by its address: pv-good, pv-risky, pv-invalid, pv-unknown or pv-disposable. Run the same sheet again and that column is updated, not duplicated.
What each result means
Every address gets exactly one of these, written to Google Sheets as described above.
| Result | Meaning | Credit |
|---|---|---|
| pv-good | The mailbox was confirmed to exist. Safe to send. | 1 |
| pv-risky | A catch-all domain: it accepts every address, so the mailbox could not be confirmed either way. | Free |
| pv-invalid | The mailbox does not exist. Sending here earns a hard bounce. | 1 |
| pv-unknown | No definite answer from the mail server (blocked, greylisted or timed out). | Free |
| pv-disposable | A throwaway address from a temporary-inbox service. | 1 |
Cleaning up Google Sheets
Nothing is removed. No rows are deleted, moved or reordered, because deleting a row in a document you own would take every other column with it and there is no undo. Sort or filter on the new column and decide for yourself.
Removal is always your choice and never deletes anything. pv-risky and pv-unknown are never removed, because neither proves an address is bad. If a sync fails part way, nothing is written back at all rather than acting on partial results.
Why Google Sheets users verify
Lead lists, event sign-ups and prospect research usually live in a spreadsheet long before they reach a CRM or an email tool. Checking them in the sheet, before the import, keeps bad data out of every system downstream.
What it costs
A Google Sheets sync costs exactly what verifying those addresses any other way would: 1 credit per definite answer (valid, invalid or disposable). Catch-all, unknown and error results are free, because none of them confirms anything. Credits never expire, and new accounts get free credits to try it, no card needed. See pricing for packs.
Google Sheets integration FAQ
Can Prime Verifier see my other Google Drive files?
No. We use Google's file picker and a permission that covers only the spreadsheets you choose.
Will it change or delete my rows?
No. It adds one Prime Verifier column and writes the results into it. Nothing else in the sheet is touched.
What does pv-disposable mean?
A throwaway address from a temporary-inbox service. It usually exists today but belongs to nobody next week, so it is marked separately from pv-invalid.
What about Excel files?
Upload the file as a CSV in Bulk verification, or save it to Google Sheets and use this connector.
