Verify HubSpot contacts where they already live
Connect HubSpot, choose a list, and every contact's address is checked with a live mailbox test. The answer is written to a property on the contact record, ready for list filters, workflows and reports.
- No export, no re-import
- Catch-all and unknown are free
- Nothing is ever hard-deleted
How the HubSpot integration works
- 1
Connect HubSpot
Sign in with HubSpot and approve Prime Verifier in your portal.
Or paste a Private App token (HubSpot retired plain API keys in November 2022). The token needs the crm.objects.contacts.read and crm.objects.contacts.write scopes, plus crm.lists.read.
- 2
Choose a list
Pick the list you want checked. We pull its addresses and remove duplicates first, so an address listed twice is only verified, and charged, once.
- 3
We verify it in the background
Every address goes through the full check: syntax, domain and MX records, disposable and role detection, and a live conversation with the receiving mail server. The run shows in your Bulk Jobs like any other, so you can close the tab.

Results land in HubSpot
The verdict (pv-good, pv-risky, pv-invalid or pv-unknown) is written to a contact property, so it shows on the record and can be used anywhere HubSpot lets you filter on a property: active lists, workflows, reports.
What each result means
Every address gets exactly one of these, written to HubSpot as described above.
| Result | Meaning | Credit |
|---|---|---|
| pv-good | The mailbox was confirmed to exist. Safe to send. | 1 |
| pv-risky | A catch-all domain: it accepts every address, so the mailbox could not be confirmed either way. | Free |
| pv-invalid | The mailbox does not exist. Sending here earns a hard bounce. | 1 |
| pv-unknown | No definite answer from the mail server (blocked, greylisted or timed out). | Free |
Cleaning up HubSpot
HubSpot has no suppression list for contacts, so Remove invalid marks those contacts pv-removed instead of deleting them. Exclude that value from your sends and sequences, and your contact history stays complete.
Removal is always your choice and never deletes anything. pv-risky and pv-unknown are never removed, because neither proves an address is bad. If a sync fails part way, nothing is written back at all rather than acting on partial results.
Why HubSpot users verify
A CRM fills up with addresses from forms, imports, events and sales prospecting, and nothing checks them on the way in. Bounces from marketing email hurt your sending domain, and bad addresses in sequences waste reps' time. Verifying lists before they go into a workflow keeps both clean.
What it costs
A HubSpot sync costs exactly what verifying those addresses any other way would: 1 credit per definite answer (valid, invalid or disposable). Catch-all, unknown and error results are free, because none of them confirms anything. Credits never expire, and new accounts get free credits to try it, no card needed. See pricing for packs.
HubSpot integration FAQ
Which HubSpot scopes does Prime Verifier need?
Reading contacts and lists and writing the verdict back: crm.objects.contacts.read, crm.objects.contacts.write and crm.lists.read. Nothing about deals, billing or sending.
Does it delete contacts from HubSpot?
No. HubSpot has no contact suppression list, so contacts you choose to remove are marked pv-removed. You decide what to do with them.
Can I verify contacts automatically when they are created?
Native syncs verify a list you choose. For per-contact checks as records arrive, use our Zapier app or call the REST API from a HubSpot workflow webhook.
