Disposable email checker: spot throwaway addresses
Enter an email address or domain to see whether it belongs to a temporary-inbox service, checked against the same list of 277,000+ disposable domains our verification uses.
Free, no signup. DNS lookups only: nothing is sent to the domain's mail server.
Why throwaway addresses matter
A disposable address works long enough to grab what is behind a sign-up form and then disappears. Mail sent later bounces or goes nowhere, trial limits are easy to abuse, and your metrics fill up with people you can never reach.
Blocking them at the form is the cheapest fix. See disposable email detection for doing it automatically with the API, in bulk, or inside your email tools.
Disposable email checker FAQ
What is a disposable email address?
An inbox from a service that hands out temporary addresses, often for minutes or hours. People use them to claim a trial or download without giving a real address.
Where does the list come from?
Two widely used open lists of disposable domains, merged and refreshed every 24 hours, with an allowlist that keeps major providers like Gmail and Outlook.com from ever being flagged.
Does this check whether the mailbox exists?
No, this tool checks the domain only. For a full check of one address, including a live mailbox test, use the free email verifier.
Can I check addresses in bulk or at signup?
Yes: every verification through the API, a bulk upload or an integration includes this check, and disposable addresses come back as their own result.
